Plan for your next event.

Updated: Feb 8, 2021

Whether it's an intimate dinner party or birthday party for an adult or child here are some tips that will help you get the ball rolling.

  • Let's get out pin and paper. Make sections for budget, vibe, food, drinks, venue, guest list, decor.

  • Start with what vibe you want to create. (fun, whimsical, rustic glam, etc...) Once you have that in mind, consider your audience. Think about not only what you would like but how you want your guest to experience this event.

  • Next get inspiration from looking at sites like Pinterest , Instagram, Google, Etsy. You can take clues from here. I have found Etsy to be a great place to get party decor and they usually are up on new trends. Here you will find some easy DIY decor and someone who will execute the product.

  • Once you have figured out the look and feel of the event. Create a to-do list to have as a check point to reference for progress. For example If you are needing to order supplies/decor, I would suggest ordering decor 3-4 weeks in advance to prepare for mail mishaps or a product may not be what you thought it would be. Also make a day-of-the-event-list. This will help you see what things can be done ahead, where you may need help and also assist with time management.

These tips will help you get started. If you are not interested in planning your own gathering Sweet Soiree is here to assist with your event design and planning.
